Rate Comparisons
Muni rates lower than IOUs and REAs Colorado’s municipally owned utilities consistently have offered their customers the lowest rates in the state. According to rate surveys conducted by CAMU in 2007, municipal customers, on average, paid the lowest electric rates. The following table illustrates the electric rates charged in the winter and summer in 2007 by Colorado’s electric utilities.
